Where should I stay?
Harrison is a resort town, so you'll find a number of places to stay (see Travel section). We have arranged a hotel block at the Harrison Beach Hotel in Harrison (Code: KCGB). If you are staying at the Lodge, please coordinate with the Bridegroom.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3pm, as foretold. Please arrive onsite no later than 2:45pm to ensure you find your seat and take in the view. Don't be like the groom who has been late to several weddings (none of yours).
Are Ubers/taxis available in the area?
Yes! Uber is available as well as a local taxi service:
Cheam Taxi (604) 847-1111. The town of Harrison is a less than 5 minute drive from the venue. Honestly, it should be a short walk, but we hear the road is a treacherous journey for pedestrians.
Does the venue have parking?
The Lodge has a limited amount of free parking available which may be enough for all, but we may have to do some coordinating on the day depending on the final car tally. Stay in touch!
What is the dress code?
We would love to see our friends and family dress up with us and express themselves! Please join us in your finest cocktail attire. October weather in British Columbia can be unpredictable. Ideally, the ceremony will be outdoors on a grassy lawn, but we'll move indoors in case of rain.
The grounds of the lodge and the area are lovely, so guests are encouraged to bring layers in case you'd like to enjoy the lake view, a walk on the beach, or one of the outdoor fire pits! Note: it is customary to avoid wearing white or off-white dresses and/or Pantera t-shirts.
What about gifts or a registry?
Meaningful gifts are welcome, but not necessary. We are so grateful for your presence and already have a very fine toaster. However, if your traditions demand you share an envelope, we won't fight you.
